Messenger Bike Frames

The fixed-gear NJS Style Lugged Track (messenger) frame is often favored by urban cyclists for its light weight, responsive handling, and mechanical simplicity which helps for quick repairs.

The NJS Style Lugged Track (messenger) frame is our new track model. Each one is custom built start to finish by master frame builder Koichi Yamaguchi. They are not production frames. Frame tubing is 4130 Cr.Mo. heat treated. Messenger frames require more strength then regular competition track frames. Competition track frames are not designed for back pedaling (fixed gear braking) which puts more stress on chain stays, seat stays and rear dropouts. The Yamaguchi Messenger frame is built with high tensile strength chainstays, seat stays and with custom Yamaguchi "Prime Cut" 4130 Cr.Mo. track dropouts. Frame tubing is custom Yamaguchi-True Temper Cr.Mo. with lost wax casting hand cut fork crowns and lugs. Forks can be raked or straight with 24mm Cr.Mo. round blades. The style is old school traditional NJS Keirin. Prices start from ~ for the frame and fork with one single solid color Dupont Imron paint. Front/rear brake holes, cable guides and braze-ons are all No Charge options. Frames include custom geometry. Other tubing and paint options are available upon request. Turnaround time is about 150 days.
